vibnote License
Copyright (c) 2026 YDONLABS (연두온랩스). All rights reserved.
This license applies to vibnote — the web app at vibnote.com, the desktop application (currently distributed as Snap), the mobile application, release binaries, icons, visual assets, product names, and related materials provided by the copyright holder — except for third-party components that are covered by their own licenses.
1. Beta
vibnote is in beta. Features, file formats, and behavior may change, and some features may be removed. vibnote is proprietary software and is provided free of charge during beta.
2. License Grant
Subject to this license, you may use the vibnote web app and install and use official vibnote release binaries for personal use, evaluation, research, writing, and internal business work.
3. Restrictions
You may not, without prior written permission from the copyright holder:
- copy, redistribute, mirror, sell, rent, lease, sublicense, or host vibnote outside the official channels;
- modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works from vibnote;
- reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive vibnote source code, except where applicable law expressly allows it;
- remove copyright, license, trademark, or attribution notices;
- use the vibnote or Snap name, icon, logo, screenshots, or other brand assets in a way that suggests endorsement or creates product confusion;
- package vibnote as part of another product or service.
4. Your Data
Your snaps, notes, vault files, and other content you create with vibnote remain yours. This license does not claim ownership over your data.
The web app stores your content in your browser. If you connect GitHub, your content is also stored in the repository you choose, and sync requests go from your device directly to GitHub. The vibnote server relays the GitHub sign-in exchange and link previews; it does not store your GitHub token or your content.
5. Sync During Beta
Sync is experimental. It may be delayed, fail, or create conflict copies (files ending in .remote) when the same file changed on two devices. Browsers may also delete site data — for example, iOS Safari can clear data for sites you have not opened in a while.
Keep your own backups of anything important: download a ZIP from Settings, or rely on the history of your GitHub repository.
6. Third-Party Components
vibnote includes third-party open-source components. Those components remain governed by their respective licenses. The web app lists them at /third-party-licenses.txt; the desktop application includes THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.md.
7. Future Changes
The copyright holder may change vibnote's distribution model, add paid features, offer supporter licenses, or provide separate commercial licenses in the future. Existing use of a specific release remains governed by the license terms distributed with that release.
8. No Warranty
vibnote is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the copyright holder is not liable for any claim, damage, data loss, sync issue, lost profit, or other liability arising from use of vibnote.
10. Termination
This license terminates automatically if you violate its terms. After termination, you must stop using vibnote and delete all copies of the vibnote applications in your possession.
